is a purpose built, four and a half star, exclusive bed and breakfast home, to cater for visitors seeking comfort and friendly service at an affordable price.

Sharyn's aim is to provide the highest possible standard; no less than we would expect ourselves.

The home is surrounded by beautiful gardens and shady courtyards to be enjoyed by guests. Smoking is not allowed inside, however, there are facilities in the courtyards. The interior is tastefully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean.

WHILE AWAY is only 100 metres from a lovely unspoilt beach. This is great for walking, swimming and water sports to name but a few activities.

The small township of Yeppoon is 2 kilometres from WHILE AWAY, and there are many places for dining as well as for shopping. Yeppoon also has beautiful beaches and other attractions. (Should guests seek a major Australian town, Rockhampton is only 30 minutes by car. Rocky as it is known to locals, has many attractions and your hosts, Sharyn would be happy to advise you).

From the township of Yeppoon it is only a short drive to the Rosslyn Bay Marina, where you may depart for day trips to the beautiful Great Keppel Island. The Marina is also the starting point for the world renowned Great Barrier Reef. Your host Sharyn, would be happy to provide further information as well as a courtesy vehicle should you require.

There are three queen sized bedrooms and one king size with its own private courtyard (ideal for a honeymoon couple). This room also converts to a twin share room for 2 single adults. Each room has air-conditioning, wall mounted television and a spacious ensuite.

One of the queen sized rooms is specialty built, with easy wheel chair access, to cater for the disabled person. The property is not suitable for children.

Linen is professionally laundered and all rooms are serviced daily.

Guest have their own kitchen and dining room as well as a separate television room and sitting room (great for writing those cards home). Laundry facilities are also available upon request.

Full Breakfast for guests is our own special blend of a tropical and cooked meal, which is a great start to a day. Refreshments, tea / coffee, cake and biscuits are provided 24 hours.

There is also complimentary sherry / port for you to enjoy.
